“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” ~Jeremiah 1:5
Ah! Isn’t it incredible to know that we were all created even before we were existent? Just analyzing this scripture makes me feel unique and excited to wake up every morning to see what else God has planed for me. You should too!
I once in my life, if not many times, I questioned God what my purpose in life was. I felt lost and incomplete. Almost as if I was invisible to the universe. I had nothing to look forward to nor did I have goals. If you’re still reading this, maybe you can relate. But, have you looked back and seen how much you have accomplished? How many times you’ve gotten back up after a heartbreak? Count your blessings!
Count your blessing: Just for a moment stop and just think or journal everything that you’ve accomplished. Write down everything that you are grateful for. When you do this, you realize that certain situations, places, and even people were put in your life to bring you to where you are now. Journaling these things may help you out tremendously whenever you begin to feel down about life or are experiencing any confusion. But always remember to not lean on your own understandings ~Prov. 3:5 and keep trusting God with your life. After all, He has always had better ideas for your life than you did, right?
It is very easy to turn away from God when things don’t go our way. Negative thoughts come into mind because we over analyze and sometimes make stories worse in our minds after something went wrong. But those negative thoughts only come to steel your peace and not to mention your focus on Christ. That’s spiritual theft! It’s not easy to always stay positive but, it’s okay! We need those down falls to experience even better highs in life! Just keep practicing and refocusing on Jesus each time you find yourself fading away and it’ll get better.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” -John 10:10
The Lord is the lamp of our feet, and He will always guid our way. Pray, pray, pray for guidance and wisdom and He will provide. Trust God and do good!
