Hi friends!
For the most part I LOVE mornings and the feeling of a fresh new start of each day, but there’s days like today that I tend to wake up feeling sort of lousy. It’s not that I didn’t sleep well or wake up through the night, I simply felt down yet not depressed, I hope you can relate and understand the feeling i’m trying to describe.
This morning came to my mind the reminder that God tells us through scripture;
He will give us rest. It’s true.
Spending time in His word or even listening to worship music really does bring out good fruit in us and fills us with Joy and peace again.
Sometimes even though we sleep well through the night there are things that occupy our minds. I know in my case I tend to overthink about many things, or I think about all the things that need to get done, but God wants me to rest in His presence and to not worry about the days ahead.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring it’s own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” ~Matthew 6:34
Of course, it’s good to make plans and have goals, in fact it’s healthy to do so, but God will always have the final say of what will happen in our every day life. Worry simply immobilizes while concern can lead us to action.
Today I encourage you to rest in God’s presence, as I too, challenge myself to rest in the knowing that He’s in control.
