Spiritual Overdose

Do you remember that feeling of excitement when you bought your first brand new car? How about your new house? Or when you met someone special?

Whatever that new place, person, or thing was I bet you couldn’t get enough of it! You’d want to take it everywhere you go or spend as much times as you could with it/them or in it…

This is how it feels to spend time in God’s word. To me, it honestly feels like a romance novel, (although, sometimes like a soap opera as well LOL). The more I spend time with Him the more I feel His love and tender care. I feel desired by Him. He constantly changes my way of view of life, and the more I submit and obey Him the more I too, desire Him. Soooo much love that I can honestly say this is my personal romance story. Yes! I fail many times over and over again to fully trust in Him, but how beautiful it is that He is always patient and willing to pick me back up.

God longs to romance you too! He wants to take you by the hand and call you His. You were chosen by him before you even thought about choosing Him as your Lord and savior. He knows everything about you from the number of hairs on your head to your fears and desires. But you have to surrender and fully give yourself to Him to be able to hear from Him and feel His presence.

“Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” ~Proverbs 30:5

The storms you face in your life were never meant for you to handle on your own. In fact, not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path…

“Life with God is not immunity from difficulties, but peace within difficulties.” ~C. S. Lewis

With all the new changes going on in my life I recently became afraid. I was afraid of failure and not so much the fear of going back into my old ways, but the fear of failing God. I was so caught up on wanting to do things “perfectly”  that I lost sight of Who was in control. But God teaches us to surrender all to Him each and every day. He wants to be included in our every day lives. He is our bridegroom and we are His forever bride… Honestly, the peace you get from God even feels uncomfortable at times especially in hard seasons of life! But thats why He came, to give us a life full of joy regardless what lies ahead.

“When I am afraid, I will trust in You.” Psalm 56:3

It’s definitely a lot easier said than done, but an overdose of God’s love will never hurt…

Trust God, and Do good 😉
