What is faith?
Honestly, I didn’t understand what faith really was for all of my years of living, (i’m 26 by the way.) Even after becoming baptized as a Christian I found myself confused many times trying to understand it. It’s not until months and days, trials and errors that I am now beginning to understand what faith rally means. And some times, I tend to fall off track and lose my own faith once I try to do things on my own strength for selfish reasons.
God has a great sense of humor once you get to know Him more as you spend time with Him. Every time I try to jump ahead and go for my plan B once I “think” God is taking too long to answer a prayer, I find myself flat on my face on the ground asking for forgiveness and I admit,
“okay God, You win…AGAIN.”
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” ~Hebrews 11:1
You see, we can’t just “hope” for things to change or happen to us, YOU need faith! Believe that you CAN change. Believe that your husband/wife can change too. Believe that you will have that dream job one day. Believe that you will have that life you’re always daydreaming of…
Believe in the things you haven’t seen yet, but because you know that God is powerful and He will give you the desires of your heart. Except, on His own perfect timing, His own unique way…. 😉
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must BELIEVE that He exists and that He REWARDS those who SEEK Him.” ~Hebrews 11:6
Speak to Him now wherever you are. Tell Him what you’re struggling with and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. He’s always listening to you and yes, even in your thoughts. He already knows your fears and desires, but He also already knows how to help you even before you ask Him. All He wants from you is your submission to Him. He desires to be intimate with YOU. Just ask Him, in Jesus name.
