It’s a new year once again with that feeling of a fresh start to new ideas and projects that we all dream of accomplishing. It’s amazing how a change of digits can fuel so many of us to want new adventures and accomplishments. But to think of how long it will take to achieve a goal or to even notice how much effort there is to actually begin can hold us back and fog our visions.
But what if you never even make an attempt to start something you dream of? Wouldn’t it be torture to your soul just to look back after many more years pass by and you simply seem to keep hitting that same brick wall? Or, even worse, to see other people doing the things you wish you would have done yourself and you had nothing but your own mind stopping you.
The pain of regret could be worse than the fear of failure because you can at least say you tried.
Why live a life full of regrets when there’s endless possibilities…
“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.” ~James 1:12
Doubts come to our minds whether you reach for your goals or you don’t. Worry is simply interest paid on trouble before it falls due. Be optimistic! And focus on the now and the fresh start you have each day.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” ~Matthew 6:34
Above all things, never forget who we live for and what the end goal is to an eternal life. We may plan ahead and make goals for ourselves but, at the end of the day God always has a better plan for us. Trust God and always do good…
