Time Management

One thing we all have in common is time. And you know what? It doesn’t stop for anyone! It’s a very common thing that we all share as well as the fact that we may sometimes complain about not having enough of it. To be honest, it’s just all about managing it well and really focusing on things that we “should” be doing instead of wasting the time we will never get back.

When I think about time, I also think about these questions:

  • Is it important?
  • Will it make me a better person?
  • Do I enjoy what I do and have a satisfactory outcome?
  • Am I pleasing God with what I do?

This might seem silly to some people, but are you living for people’s approval or for yourself? Honestly, if I ask myself these questions is because I do believe that what you do know determines where you will be in the future. Not only do these questions help you live on purpose, but also by not making selfish decision whiles applying God’s law to your life.

Time is something that you’ll never get back yet we waste it as if it was money! I was a people pleaser for a while and even though I still tend to fall back into that bad habit, Iv’e gotten a lot better about balancing my time for personal growth, work, and spending time with loved ones.

Being goal oriented is a great thing! But you know what? No matter how may goals we have, once you accomplish something, you eventually come to find out that it will never be enough! New projects and goals are always exciting until you discover you want something more. Why do I say this? Other than because it is true, sadly, people you love are pushed away without you even noticing due to selfish reasons.

Everything living dies… All things decay… Time doesn’t come back…

I truly admire goal oriented people and especially the ones who accomplish their goals. I can’t even imagine life without goals! But you know what else I realize? God didn’t die so that we can have things, He died so that we can have joy in life and love people… What good is it to have everything in life but not have love? Money can’t buy love, nor will we take “stuff” when we part… Choose a well balanced life and trust God, and do good!

“Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar.” ~Proverbs 19:20-22
