Imagine if we could all love the way God loves us. WOW! This world would be a completely different story! There would be no fights, divorces, animal cruelty, jails, terrorisms and so on…
Even if this all never ends, we can all still learn to really forgive and work on improving ourselves for ourselves. In fact, isn’t that what Jesus is for? With all the chaos that goes on and that sometimes we even create ourselves, why would we not need faith?
My point here is, life will continue to happen no matter what. As long as you are living on earth you will have to face all of the ups and downs. So why do it alone?! Choose to live your life for yourself the right way, which to me, it means by obeying the Lord’s instructions. It is never too late to turn the way you see life around.
As a matter of fact, based on my experiences, I believe that we are placed in situations and with people to contribute to our life purpose! Of course, we may not see it that way as we go through heartache but, we’re not made to understand things all the time. Why? Because if we did, we wouldn’t need faith! God wants us to need Him and seek Him in every situation, good or bad.
“You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God.” -Exodus 20:5
This verse, also one of the commandments, I’ve learned that is very powerful. With everything society has now offered us from smartphones, social media, dating sites and so on, we can get so drawn into what’s going on around us that we forget about ourselves and our relationship with God. But don’t worry, God will always remind you of Him when those things and sometimes people become more important to us than Him. I’ve got that pretty clear 😉
Do you want to keep your peace? Happiness? Relationships? Jobs? Friends? And how about feeling unconditional love and a peaceful mind? Amen to all! Choose to humble yourself and dig deeper into your bible.
Christ’s example of Humility
“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord of one mind.” -Philippians 2:1-2
Jesus’ grand desire is for us to live loved. The Lord loves us more than anyone on earth could ever love us. He forgives us for our sins and humbles us. It honestly took me a while to understand that the emptiness I felt in my heart wasn’t meant to be for another person to fill it other than God alone!
What is impossible with man is possible with God.” -Luke 18:27
The renewing of the mind takes a lot of time and practice. But it is so worth it! We will never be perfect human beings because of our fleshly desires but, we can surely improve our minds and our ways with the prince of peace…
I encourage you to also read one of my favorite books “The battle field of the mind” by one of my favorite authors, Joyce Meyer. If you’re like me, trying to read and fully understand the bible can be overwhelming at first but, there are many ways to seek God and study in the areas of your life where you find more difficulties. Don’t give up! Just do good, and trust God…
