What does to live life really mean to you? Are you infected by the way people choose to live their lives now? Is normal more comfortable than having moral values? Does having sex out of marriage really make you feel good about yourself or just in the moment?
My answer to all of these questions would be this verse….
“Who ever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to the prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
-1 Peter 3:10-12
So, if this verse doesn’t give you the chills and make you want to adjust your lives then, is it worth it to continue living the same way and expecting different results?!?
I strongly believe that God is constantly working on us but, it is our choice to really listen to what He calls us to do. We tend to think that by doing the same things over and over that maybe we might get a different result sooner or later. But, honestly, it doesn’t happen that way. “You have to grow through what you go through.” You’ll eventually hit rock bottom and just confusing yourself by asking the same questions over and over…
- Why me?
- Why does this keep happening to me again?
- Do I not deserve happiness?
If we really want to have a change in our lives we have to make that change and set our minds and keep it set. Changing our life style can be very difficult but if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you. Yes, it is very easy to fall back into old habits but a habit can be broken many times yet a life is only one. A question that I like to ask myself from time to time is, “Do I want to live in regret knowing I could have done better, or do I want to grow old knowing that I tried?” As you’ve noticed, the older we get the faster time goes. So don’t waste time!
You know what life is worth living? This is an acronym that my boyfriend shared with me right before our baptism using the word Bible…

I can honestly say that this new life style has drastically renewed my mind. It’s definitely not an easy change but I do not regret it one bit. Living by pleasing the Lord instead of the desires of the flesh is so much more rewarding than moments of pleasure… Besides, taking a daily dose of faith comes with so many great side effects! You see more hope for your future and you love the results after any turbulence that happens in your life.
I am beyond excited to continue this journey with God.
Do good and trust God…
