Isn’t it sometimes silly how much we talk to ourselves? It is honestly quite scary living in our own minds sometimes. Only we have the capacity to talk ourselves either into something good or out of something that could have been great.
Fear exists in each and every one of us. The greatest fear of all I believe would be the fear of loss. Any kind of loss is painful: a person, a dream job, and even time. But, if you notice, we all experience the same loss at possibly many point in times of our lives. Pain is pain! No matter the circumstances, we all suffer in life…
Don’t ask for someone else’s life because you don’t know what struggles they went through to get there.
What’s something else that brings us suffering? Comparison! What others have that you may not: physical appearance, intelligence, jobs, relationships, materialistic objects and so on. I remember hearing a saying that says “not everything that shines is gold” and it is very true! We really don’t know anyone else’s story. What they’ve been through that has gotten them to where they are now, or why they are the way they are. Whenever we tend to compare ourselves to others it is always good to think about what we personally have been through as well. Appreciate what struggles you’ve overcome and the blessings that have been granted to you because of that certain pain.
And lastly, truly loving ourselves. Why is this so hard to do at times and to stay at that state when God loves each and one of us profoundly? We are all made to be unique for a reason. Everyone has a mission in their own journey, but we sometimes ask for promotion without process because it’s easy and less painful.
“If you master where you are, you will be promoted to where you want to be.”

Life is a constant battle within ourselves. We will struggle, but we will conquer. We will fall more than once, but we will get back up again with that much more force. We will shed tears of sadness, but we will also cry for happiness. So appreciate each and every stage you are in. If we didn’t have pain we wouldn’t have feelings. If we didn’t have hope, there would be no faith. If we didn’t need help, then there would be no God. Get it?! God is great and without Him we couldn’t do what we do now. This is the school of life and He is our teacher. No, life isn’t easier when you learn about God, but you do have guidance. Yes, there will still be pain, but there will be more hope that things will get better.
For we are not overextending ourselves, as though we did not reach you. For we were the first to come all the way to you with the gospel of Christ. We do not boast beyond limit in the labors of others. But our hope is that as your faith increases, our area of influence among you may be greatly enlarged…
