Love is the most powerful feeling anyone can experience in life. It makes you feel full of life and gives you so much power to do the unthinkable. It’s almost like a fuel where you regain energy, set and accomplish goals, and have a more positive attitude towards life.
But isn’t it scary to think about what power it’ll give you once that love “fades” away? Can it also make you do the unthinkable? Of course it can, but because sometimes we ourselves can permit that love to fade away. Or, maybe there was never true love and it was just a feeling of admiration towards a person.
Who ever we encounter in our lives has a purpose for us just as we do for them. God places people in our lives for a reason, and sometimes for a lesson. Yes, it’s painful to lose someone you love and had plans with for your future, but if God’s plan for us is much greater than ours, then we need to learn to move on and be grateful for what we experienced with that person.
The best way to move on, for me at least, is to forgive yourself and forgive the person for our faults. A relationship involves two people and both tend to fail at times. But, when it involves God in the relationship the faults or sins seem less. Forgiving someone for their actions frees yourself from feeling angry at life, it gives you peace and clarity to see what lessons you learned from that experience with them, and you tend to focus on remembering the good times you shared. Only blessings come after pain, keep that in mind!
Happy valentines for all those love birds! Never forget to show your spouse how much you love them, not just on the holiday, but for the rest of your life. There will always be ups and downs in a relationship no matter what but be patient because it’s worth the ride. God gave you each other for a reason…
Don’t cheat, don’t steal, don’t lie. I know you got mountains to climb, but always stay humble and kind…
One of my favorite songs from Tim McGraw “Humble and kind”
Disclaimer: First of all, thank you for “Going with the flow” with me and taking the time to read my blogs. I always write them from experiences and I try to be as organic as I can be. Always pray for your relationship, and or, pray for that future spouse God is preparing for you.
